Let’s Talk Leadership Podcast

In my new podcast interview with Alaska Tracy I shared my thoughts about leadership tools and strategies. I spoke about:

MY DEFINITION OF SUCCESS

Success is identifying what we are fascinated with and then applying our gifts and strengths to make it happen. I believe that if we work hard at something and enjoy the process that is success. I don’t believe in labels or positions or titles. Success can be about growing in a career or a personal feat or helping someone reach their north star. The key is taking action and feeling empowered to propel ourselves in a particular direction.

Five Heart Based Leadership Tactics

Partnering with many highly technical leaders throughout the years, I have come to understand the direct communication style. They get to the point quickly, using as few words as possible, with a purposeful tone. They exude an air of authority. This past week was no different. Those of us who ignore the reality of what’s going on can end up with physical ailments like headaches or muscle… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Five Leadership Traits In A Free Workplace

Independence Day is upon us in the United States and many will celebrate with fireworks, social gatherings and plenty of barbecued food. It is a joyous time as we honor those who helped create a country of freedom and choice. Along with having the many opportunities, comes a great deal of responsibility and expectation. We need to be open to different points of view and be willing to hear all sides of an issue before declaring our stand. But what is most fascinating about this process is that once you actually behave this way, it becomes a way of life naturally.

The same is true for any team or organization. When individuals embrace a free… Continue reading | 4 Comments
