Great interview, Terri!
For me, indecisiveness in a leader is the most frustrating! I can excuse a bad choice, but have the confidence to make a decision in the first place! If the decision was not the right one, pivot, and pursue another course.
When a leader is indecisive, it broadcasts that they have low confidence levels.
I agree LaRae that when leaders can’t decide on a particular direction they end up looking wishy-washy. They lose credibility and are not able to gain the confidence of the people they work with.
Maybe if people looked at making mistakes in a more manageable way they might take the risk and just choose a course of action. No one is perfect. No one has all the answers. Leading is doing the best we can with the information we have.
Thanks LaRae for your kind words!
